CHILD MEMBERSHIP

We encourage parents, grandparents and guardians to register their children (under 18 years of age) to become members of the Afrikan Food Hall.

We intend to provide free meals to all junior members under the age of 16. We need some basic information around any dietary issues they may have for example gluten intolerance. This information will allow us to plan and buy the right supplies for our junior members.

Children Programme

We are working on a programme for children and we will inform members of its progress over the next few months.

Informing your child

It is important that you share information about AFH with your child (children) and bring them to our public and member-only events.

Please note that junior members can’t vote until they reach 18 years of age.

Annual membership fee £1.00 per child

Membership Small Print

We are working on an internal membership target and once we reach our target we will be closing membership for at least 3 years once the stores have opened. We also have a target for the number children we want as members.

We have also restricted the Principle Membership Class. This group can only account for 20 per cent of the overall membership base.

It is important that you keep your membership throughout the planning and startup stages.

We are a family orientated organisation and therefore we encourage entire families to become members of their local AFH including all their children.

People relocating to Africa

We want to work with people who are planning to relocate to Africa over the next 3 years. There are genuine opportunities for people to become suppliers of agricultural produce, textile and furniture to the Afrikan Food Hall from Africa. We are working through HomelandAfrika Forum to link with people here who are planning to live and work on the continent.
